Government of Rajasthan – Youth Entrepreneurship Promotion Scheme

The Vishwakarma Yuva Udyami Protsahan Yojana (VYUPY) is a flagship scheme of the Rajasthan Government aimed at promoting youth entrepreneurship, self-employment, and new business creation in the state.

🎯 Objective

  • Encourage self-employment and entrepreneurship among youth
  • Support new enterprises, expansion, and modernization of businesses
  • Reduce financial burden through loan support and subsidies
  • Generate local employment and strengthen MSMEs

💰 Key Benefits

1️⃣ Business Loan Support

Eligible youth can obtain a bank loan up to ₹2 crore for business purposes.

2️⃣ Interest Subsidy

  • For loans up to ₹1 crore:
    8% interest subsidy on the sanctioned loan amount.
  • For loans above ₹1 crore and up to ₹2 crore:
    7% interest subsidy on the sanctioned loan amount.
  • Additional 1% interest subsidy for special categories (Women, SC/ST, Divyang, rural entrepreneurs, artisans, weavers) on loans above ₹1 crore and up to ₹2 crore.

3️⃣ Margin Money Assistance

  • 25% of the loan amount or ₹5 lakh (whichever is lower) provided as margin money support.
  • Helps reduce the applicant’s own capital requirement.

4️⃣ Special Category Support

Extra benefits are available for:

  • Women entrepreneurs
  • SC/ST candidates
  • Differently-abled persons
  • Rural youth
  • Traditional artisans, weavers, and craftsmen

✅ Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicant must be a resident of Rajasthan
  • Age: 18 to 45 years
  • Should propose a new business or expansion / modernization of an existing enterprise
  • Applicable mainly for MSMEs, manufacturing, service, and trade activities

🏗️ Permitted Uses of Loan

  • Setting up a new unit
  • Expansion or diversification of an existing business
  • Purchase of machinery & equipment
  • Technology upgradation
  • Working capital (as per bank norms)

⛔ Prohibited / Restricted Activities

  • Restricted Products: Liquor, Tobacco, Explosives, Narcotics
  • Vehicle Limit: Commercial vehicle costing over ₹15 lakh
  • Excluded Sectors: Agriculture, Real Estate, Mining, NGO Ventures
